Anthony Bourdain Day

To Benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention

In Kitchen Confidential, Anthony Bourdain wrote that his fascination with food began during a childhood trip to France when he tried his first oyster on a fisherman’s boat.

On June 25, the date designated by the food world as Anthony Bourdain Day, Blue Morel will offer a dozen oysters and a bottle of sparkling wine for $45. For each order, we will donate $5 to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (www.afsp.org).

Join us in celebrating the life of the great chef and travel documentarian who inspired us to explore and connect with others—one meal at a time.

Bourbon and Blues Night – Live Music

Slaughter House Whiskey

Meet Slaughter House Brand Ambassador who will offer a free tasting of their award-winning Whiskey. Then, enjoy signature cocktails crafted with the bourbon.  Chef Dennis will create a  food pairing with Slaughter House.  Live Music featuring recording artist Tiphanie Doucet from 7 pm to 10:00 pm.

A casual conversation between the Wilkinson family and renowned winemaker, Dave Phinney sparked an idea to mellow whiskey in seasoned wine barrels. Thus, the beginnings of The Splinter Group.

Being both intensely curious and insanely competitive (as winemakers tend to be), we set out to make the greatest whiskey – uniquely made by people who make great wine.

After spending 9 years in American oak, the Slaughter House was further matured in French oak barrels that previously held Napa Valley Bordeaux varietal red wine which added perfumed aromatics and rounded out the mouthfeel.

Every Sunday from 4pm to 9pm, Chef Dennis Mathews welcomes you with a special a la carte menu.  You will find our favorites from the Crab Cakes (Named Best Crab Cakes in New Jersey) to our Chili Cinnamon Chilean Sea Bass, homemade pasta, vegetarian and gluten free options. We selected over 50 wines by the bottle offered at 50% off on Sunday evenings. Please note: Sushi is not available on Sundays.

Extended Sunday Breakfast Buffet

The Breakfast Buffet will be served from 6:30am to 1:00pm on Sundays. At 12 noon, the bar will be open for the bar menu.  Enjoy an $8 mimosa, Bloody Mary, or house Champagne available all day starting after 12 noon.

The Daily Breakfast Buffet will be served from 6:30am to 10:30am Mon.- Sat.

We are extending our outreach program through all of 2018!  For every soup sold this year, Blue Morel will donate $1 to the Community Soup Kitchen and Outreach Center of Morristown.

The Community Soup Kitchen and Outreach Center provides nutritious meals in a warm, safe, and caring environment, free of charge, no questions asked to anyone who comes seeking nourishment.
